POSITION:                 Customer Service Representative I

Description:          

Qualified candidate must posses a minimum of 1 year retail/customer service experience in HME and Supplies. Must have excellent communication skills with emphasis on customer service support and knowledge of insurance eligibility guidelines, and proficient experience and knowledge of QS/1 HME software or equivalent program is required.  Bilingual (Spanish) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook is a plus but not required. Must be available for rotating evening and weekend on-call schedule. Compensation based on level of experience.

Essential functions:

·         Answers all incoming calls and is usually the first contact for referral sources and customers, places the order internally and makes determination of required action (changes in service, discontinuances, pick-ups.

·         Coordinates and prepares patient delivery schedule in collaboration with delivery technician.

·         Verifies insurance eligibility and coverage.

·         Fills out order form, determines charges and coverage for service requested, collects co-pays, and inserts data into information system.

·         Solicits sale of new or additional services.

·         Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

·         Reviews physician?s prescriptions and processes patient?s information into QS/1 software and generates delivery slips.

·         Generates internal documents for billing and collections department.

·         Creates and maintains patient and referral sources files.

Training/Education:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year retail/customer service experience in HME and Supplies.
